  • Exciting Developments at St Oswalds CofE Academy

It has been an exciting start to the new school year at St Oswald’s CofE Academy, following a busy summer of improvements and new developments across the school.

We are delighted to have opened The Burrow, our new specialist resource provision, where our first children are settling in wonderfully with their new teachers. We look forward to welcoming more children as the provision grows throughout the year.

Our outdoor facilities have also received a major boost with a brand-new Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) on the school field, complete with an all-weather pathway, while our inner courtyard has been transformed with artificial grass to create a fantastic multi-purpose space that is already in constant use. A huge thank you also goes to volunteers from our local Tesco Distribution Centre, who gave their time to paint our Nursery fencing, making the area much fresher and brighter for our youngest children.

Alongside these exciting improvements, we have also launched our new school vision, underpinned by “Let all that you do be done in love” (1 Corinthians 16:14). Our vision centres around developing Respectful Hearts, Responsible Choices and Resilient Minds, providing a clear focus for the values and qualities we want all our children to develop.

It has certainly been a busy and positive start to the year, and we are incredibly proud of the improvements taking place at St Oswald’s and the difference they are making for our children.
